  • Powwow is a fully managed, hosted telephony PBX solution from Vox Datapro. Powwow is flexible and customisable, and offers full scalability for your business as it grows. Being a hosted solution, there is minimal capital investment - simply buy as and when you require, contracting per extension user. Powwow offers superb quality telephony at a fraction of the price of traditional PBX solutions.

    Powwow's multiple connectivity options (ADSL, Diginet or wireless) means versatility and full redundancy options where necessary. The option also exists to port your number/s to the Vox network, thereby empowering your business to save on all outbound and inbound calls.

    The Powwow solution is priced on a per user basis (including an IP phone), which offers complete customisation and efficiency on a per user basis. All telephony (PBX, IP and TMS) is centralised and streamlined to ensure improved communication and 24/7/365 support. Combined with either Vox Datapro's Cristal Vox or Chrome voice products and our proprietary hosted Call Manager TMS monitoring package, Powwow offers users a feature-rich and fully customisable hosted PBX solution that will ensure lower capital investment and telephony costs.

  • Are you reselling someone else's IP Centrex service or is this your own service?
    Powwow is Vox Datapro's own IP Centrex service. It is based on Open Source technology known as Telviva, running on a redundant network of rack-mounted servers located at Tier 1 data centres in Johannesburg.

    Can Powwow run over any connectivity medium?
    Yes, we provide services over ADSL, Diginet, Wireless, Metro Connect and DFA.

    What Voice rates apply to Powwow?
    Either Powwow per second or Powwow per minute. The rates and billing method vary, but are significantly lower than current PSTN rates

    Will my number change with Powwow?
    If you decide to port your existing numbers to the Vox Network, then no, your number will not change. This is up to the client and also depends on the numbers you wish to port (speak to your AM for more information). If the client decides not to port, then each user will be allocated a Vox number (either and 087 number or a geographic number)

    What IP Handsets will I get with the Powwow service?
    Vox Datapro will only supply and service Polycom handsets.

    Does the Powwow solution have a telephone management system included?
    No, however there are some basic call statistics included in the system. Should you require a more advanced and fully managed solution, we can provide you with our Hosted Call Manager TMS solution at an additional monthly cost

    Is there an SLA / maintenance agreement with this product?
    Yes, the there are 2 options, Standard or Premium, and it depends on the size and location of the business.
